I have been in show dogs since the mid 1970's, but it was not until the early 1980's
when I acquired my first Skye Terrier bitch that I really found the breed that would
become the beginning of Traeloch. For 15 years I bred and exhibited my Skyes many
of whom became top Group winning dogs and went on to produce Best In Show kids.
During this time I also began handling for others and in the late 80's began working with several professional handlers. It was after this experience that I also went professional and have handled many lovely dogs of different breeds to their championships and had campaigned a few to be top show dogs of their day.
By the early 1990's I had to take a short leave from the show ring for family obligations. By 1993 I was champing at the bit to get back in the ring and some friends of mine asked me to start handling their golden retrievers. As it always does, one thing lead to another and I was introduced to Kay Gosling of Gosling Golden Retrievers and became her handler. Frankie became my foundation bitch and produced several lovely pups that have gone on to become champions here at Traeloch, and made her an Outstanding Dam. Her kids are also proving to be nice producers as well.
All our dogs have clearances for heart, eyes, hips & elbows. Their pedigrees can be viewed on k9data.com. We strive to breed healthy happy goldens that will become wonderful family companions.
